Grooming

While Leah was home she noticed I was a little smelly so she decided to give me a bath. Ziggy loves baths (Leah gave him one too but mom wasn't home to take pictures) but I am not a fan. I tried to hide, I tried to run away, but Leah was too fast and I was captured and subjected to soapy water torture. She suds me up and laughed at my shaking. Mom was there too and she did nothing to help me. All she did was document the torture with pictures. Doesn't she know it's a bad idea to photograph your crime? Well, she's in trouble now cause I got the pictures and I'm posting them for the world to see the abuse I was forced to endure. Can Amnesty International help me??
Today my mom voluntarily went for a grooming herself. She went to Toni's Barber Shop in Westhampton Beach. She says she loves that place. Humans are so weird. Toni's dawg Bernie was there. Mom calls him Bernie the Barber Dawg. He's a Wheaton Terrier. Today he was really tired cause he and his sister went for a play date last night and, believe it or not, Bernie was subjected to soapy water torture too by his babysitter! Yes friends, Bernie had a bath. When will this abuse ever end?

Hey Pedro, we have a Chihuahua too, her name is Cissy and she is booo-ssiee. She doesn't like baths either, must be a Chihuahua thing. We posted on our bloggie about what Cissy did last week while DawgDaddy & DawgMom were gone, they almost blamed us!
We're still waiting for all the race peoples to leave so we can go find you some rocks.

Uh, you look so different while having a bath. And your face is terrible in the picture where you're wrapped with the towel. Surely you'll feel better afterwards.

OMD,
Don't your hoomans know that the smell is important for socialization. Unlike themselves. When they smell it is really bad. Why must they subject us to their standards.

This is reason #3094 why cats rock: We don't need baths by human hands. We give ourselves baths.

Poor Pedro. Maybe you should take some notes from those ill-trained pooches on Dog Whisperer and learn how to fight back! ;)

hi Pedro, that looks like dog abuse to us. can you call 911 for an emergency rescue?

we have some special rocks that we are going to send you next week. we had to search for the best special ones at the dog park.

Woof!
I'm about to call AmnestyIntl but after looking at your afterbath photos, decided against it. You would not want to be cuddled with a sneezing Leah, would you?

I love baths. I don't care if it makes my fur dry since we're now having baths twice a week because of the hot summer weather.

My big brother Bogart wants to live in a bathtub but you know how he is.

We're working on your rock and it is kindda rocky so I'll post about it soon!

Thanks for your bday greetings!

Pedro,
Tell your mom that she doesn't have to be afraid and have blogochangophobia!
It was easy. Tell her to go to Webfitti and you just choose a free background. It doesn't change anything on your blog. It just changes the background. OK?
Your blog looks good with the paws in the background!

Hi Pedro,
I am so sorry you had to have a bath. You know how I hate water on my furs, so I totally understand the torture.
Sorry I have not been around. We had a really tough weekend....nobody really knows, but my mom moved us back to our old house this weekend cuz my mom and daddy are having purrsonal problems, and mom wanted to move out for a while to get her head straight. I am super excited to be here but don't want mom to know cuz she is sad.
I am finally posting about the rocks we will send you, and hope to have the post done this morning some time. Silly Bear.....he got one really strange rock for you....you will see, and you can decide whether you want to use it or not. There were just not so many rocks near our house.

Ha roo, Pedro. It's me - Ammy. Oh, oh the HORROR of what you went through. I could barely look at the pictures. In fact, I couldn't. My brother Dave had to read your post to me, as I hid under the dining room table. That's where I go if evil things like baths or brushings are being discussed. If only I had known earlier - I could have offered you sanctuary! Are you OK? Please tell me you're OK now!
If this ever happens again, run as fast as you can over to my house. I live just west of the park from where you are, past the trees where the squirrels lurk. Find me, Pedro! Find me and I'll keep you safe!
Love,
Ammy

Pedro, never waste your time trying to run from the evil clutches of a bath giver. You'll never win... they'll never understand that we're supposed to stink. Endure, little buddy - it's the same people who fill our bowls.

PS -I haven't forgotten about your rock -we're still waiting for all the snow to melt, then the slush...
