There They Go AGAIN!

Mom and Leah are leaving me again for two whole days and I'm not too happy about it. They say they HAVE to go to Leah's future college for orientation and will be gone all day on Sunday and Monday. I just don't understand why I can't go. I'm small! They'd never notice me in the dorms. Take me with you!!!!! Hmpf... so this is my last post until Tuesday. The good news is while they were in Texas, dad fed me soooo much I gained a whole pound. So maybe I'll gain another pound this time. Ooooooh I'm drooling at the thought of it! hehehe...

Asparagus!

Ok. So far you've seen me eat brussels sprouts, ribs and corn on the cob. Last night I had asparagus! Yum, yum, yum! I just love my veggies! Mom gave one to Ziggy and he took it right away thinking it was steak or something. When he got a taste he looked at mom and spit it out! No problem, I scoffed it right up. I think Ziggy thinks I'm crazy but he doesn't know what he's missing!!! If you get a chance you should really try asparagus.

Jill the Pill

This is my friend Jill. Well, she's really my mom's friend - I've never actually met her. Jill lived with my mom's sister for a long, long time. When my aunt semi-retired she moved to a condo down south that didn't allow dogs. Can you imagine that? What kind of place wouldn't allow dogs and who would ever want to live there??? Any way, at that time Jill went to live with my mom's good friend and co-worker, Judy. Judy has another dachsund who is, well..... also pretty long in the tooth if you catch my drift. Her name is Libby (like my cat-sister). My mom visits with Jill often and she is very, very happy with her new people. About 2 months ago Jill was diagnosed with Addison's Disease. It's kind of a confusing disease but she gets a shot once a month now and she's doing great. Did you know that President John F. Kennedy had Addison's Disease? Jill and JFK - hmmm she's in pretty good company I'd say. My mom always looks forward to seeing Jill. The first thing Jill does when she see's my mom is crawl up in her lap for hugs. If my mom isn't fast enough Jill will let her know with insistant barks, barks, barks. She's a really big MUSH!!

My 1st Award!

Thank you to JB for my very 1st blog award! I'm so happy to add this award to my page. Being new to blogging, it is very gratifying to have all you dawgs, cats and humans read my blog. I also enjoy visiting your blogs and reading up on your adventures. I appreciate each and every one of you and look forward each day to hearing from you! Now I would like to paw this award on to my "blog father", Rambo! It was after stumbling upon Rambo's blog completely by accident a few months ago that I decided to try blogging myself. Once again, thank you JB and thank you Rambo!

Midevil Torture Device (Just Kidding)

How many of you dawgs and cats have be furminated? My mom read about the FURminator on a blog she visited through Dogs With Blogs. Of course she immediately looked it up online and just HAD to go and get one. FYI - she found it at PetCo. She got it mostly for Ziggy and Libby since they are the big shedders in our dawg house but, as you can see, I got furminated too. Mom says it works really good and she's hoping we won't have so many tumbleweeds in our house if we all get furminated on a regular basis.

Don't tell anyone, but I actually liked it...

Bath Time

I'm not too fond of baths but my mom said I was starting to stink. When it's all over and done with I HAVE to dry off as quickly as possible. I started rolling around in the grass but for some reason my mom didn't think that was a good idea so she put a towel down for me to use instead. I smell really funny now. I personally think I smelled good before the bath and NOW I stink! Humans have a weird sense of smell.

pee ess - I went to PetCo yesterday and had a pedicure and they had to put a MUZZLE on me because I tried to bite the girl. I HATE getting my nails done...

It MUST be Summer

Ahhhhhhh, corn on the cob with a hint of butter. Yum, yum, yum. I don't think it gets much better than this. Oh, I had a couple pieces of steak too.
Life is good in my dawg house!

Wedding Bells!

My Mom & Leah were in Texas for Crissy and Daniel's wedding. Crissy's dad is my Mom's nephew which makes her my Mom's grand-niece. Confused? I am too. My Mom and her nephew are the same age, actually Corky is 13 days older than my Mom (and she never lets him forget that either!) Leah did a scripture reading for the wedding. Here are some pictures. Wasn't the bride beautiful? Wasn't Leah beautiful too?

More Texas Cousins

These cute dawgs live with my mom's nephew Aaron and his girlfriend Melissa. From top to bottom they are Sunny, Lily and Rebel. She took about fifty pictures of these looney dogs but most of the pictures came out as feet, rug, headless bodies and dog butts because they couldn't stand still for more than 2 seconds. Sunny is a Chihuahua and Miniature Greyhound mix, Lily is all Chihuahua, and Rebel is a Chiweenie (Chihuahua / Dachsund mix). They're all very cute! I bet they'd be CRAZY fun to play with!

My Texas Cousins

This is Rusty and Bitsy, my Texas cousins. Both are chihuahuas, around 2 years old. Bitsy is the Queen of their house like Libby is the Queen of ours. Rusty was found wandering around the streets of Houston. He had heart worms and was very skinny. My Texas relatives adopted him and got him healthy. He looks great now and is very lucky to have ended up in such a loving home with a beautiful sister (Bitsy). I wish I could be there to play with them. They look like really cool dawgs!

Texas

My mom and Leah left early, early, early this morning to go to Texas for a wedding. Can you believe they wouldn't take me?? Uncle Corky and Aunt Vicki have two chihuahuas and a bijon so I know I'd fit right in. Mom said not this time though... I don't know what I'm going to do without her! I will probably do alot of crying. Don't worry too much about me because dad isn't going so I know I'll be fed and Jessie said she'd come by and help take care of me too. Dad's a real sucker for my sad eyed begging and I usually score a good amount of human food from him. Ziggy will be here with me too, BUT still, I'm really gonna miss my mom. She said she would send me pictures of the Texas dawg cousins so I'll post them while she's away. Please come and visit me cause I'm going to be really lonely without Mom and Leah around. Thanks!

Ziggy's Summer Do

On Saturday my mom and Jessie gave Ziggy his 1st haircut of the season. He will get several more before Fall but the 1st one is always the hardest. It took about an hour and a half to do and I was starting to get pretty concerned about Ziggy. I did a little crying so my mom had to take a break and reassure me everything was ok. Last year she gave me a little shave too because I liked the way the buzzer felt. She said she wouldn't do it again though because I turned orange and it took a long time for my black fur to grow back in. In my profile picture you can see the orange blotches. I love the way the buzzer feels on my back though so my mom rubbed my back with it backwards so it wouldn't cut my fur. Here are some before, during and after pictures of Ziggy and one of me doing downward dog when I got the buzzer back massage!

Happy Mom's Day

Ziggy and I just want to say Happy Mother's Day to our mom. We love her very much, even though she decided to spend the day with her human daughter Leah instead of us. I was thinking I'm going to need to mark mom as MINE if this keeps up but then I remembered how upset she got when I marked her computer. I guess I'm just going to have to stick to her like glue so she doesn't forget that I love her most!! Seriously though, I'm only kidding! Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there. Hope you had a GREAT day!!!!!

Guess What I Did Today!

Um...... I peed on my mom's laptop. You know that Christmas song that goes, "I'm gettin' nuttin for Christmas. Mommy and Daddy are mad. Boy are they mad! I'm gettin' nuttin for Christmas. Cause I ain't been nuttin but bad!" Well, I guess I been bad... Good thing Christmas is a long, long time away. I don't know why my mom got so mad. Geesh, her computer works fine for crying out loud! Now she's threatening to get me fixed! YIKES!!! I better lay low for awhile!

Gimme them Ribs!

I love it when my people have ribs for dinner cause they share with me and Ziggy! When they had ribs last week my mom didn't like them so the one she gave me was covered with yummy meat. As you can see I cleaned it right up. I am a professional rib cleaner! ChaChi Lu, are ribs better than brussel sprouts???

Last (But NOT Least), LEAH!!

I've introduced you to my whole family except Leah. Well, here she is! Leah was my 1st Mom and is now my sister. She spent ALL her hard earned money to buy me from the bad pet store about a year and a half ago. Leah is a senior in high school and Mom says she has a really bad case of Senioritis right now. I sure hope that's not catching! It sounds like a very bad disease... Leah is going to West Virginia University next year. I'm sad about this because it is sooooooo far away and I won't see her for months at a time. I really love Leah and will miss her terribly. Last night we were snuggling on the couch and she gave me a nice relaxing belly rub. Life is good for this Chi-chi-wa-wa, that's for sure!

My Cousin Rambo

The picture on the left is my cousin Rambo and I'm on the right. Don't we look alot alike? Maybe not twins, but definitely cousins or brothers or something! Rambo lives in California and I live in New York. I wish I could meet him in person. I think that would be great. Rambo has a really cool blog and he's the whole reason I decided to start my own blog. If you have a moment, stop by and say hi to Rambo. I think he should join Dogs With Blogs!!!

The Peanut Gallery

I don't really know what a "Peanut Gallery" is but every time my mom sees this picture she laughs and says that's what these two are. I call them "my audience" or "my followers" or "good cat, scary cat!"

(Libby the 3-legged wonder cat, and Stinky the smelly one)

Brussel Sprouts

Last night I ate 3 brussel sprouts. They were soooooooo yummy. A little while later I started to get really fidgety and my dad was worried that brussel spouts might be poisonous to dogs. My mom got very nervous and did a quick search online. Not poisonous. Evidently alot of us dogs like brussel sprouts. Ziggy had about a dozen of them! By the way, I didn't get sick. I think I was just uncomfortably full. After all, I only weigh 6 pounds!!

Baby Pedro - Awwww I'm Sooooo Cute!

This is a picture of me in the bad pet store that Leah bought me at. I was 3 months old here but very, very small. I could fit in a pocket. The guy at the pet store told Leah I wouldn't grow much more but that wasn't true. When I was done growing I ended up being twice as big as I was in these pictures.
My mom was not happy at all that Leah bought me because she knew she would be the one that would have to take care of me and she already had a house full of animals. Sure enough Mom was right - here I am riding on her lap on the way to work. I was way too small to be left home alone all day. My mom loves me so much and tells Leah all the time she's glad she got me after all. When I was at work with Mom I would NOT let her put me down. When she'd try to put me in my little dog bed I'd cry and cry and cry and cry until she picked me up again. She worried that her boss would get mad so she put me in a soft, cozy scarf that she tied around her neck like a papoose. It was so nice and warm in there and it was a really great place to sleep. My mom would do anything for me. I sure do love her!

Scars

When I was abducted by aliens they put a chip in the back of my neck. My people used to be able to feel the chip but they haven't been able to find it for a long time. When my mom takes me to the vet they wave this thing over me and it beeps. I know that chip is there and I have the scar to prove it. I have other scars too where an alien gave me shots when I was very, very little. I got really sick and a couple of weeks later my fur fell out and never grew back. My mom is worried that every time I get a shot I'll lose more fur. The last time I got a shot they gave me another shot with it that was supposed to help but it really made me tired. Do any of you other dawgs out there have scars from the aliens???
