Mom took Ziggy and me for another walk on the beach today. It was much, much warmer and less windy than the last time we went but she still made me wear a coat.
This particular coat is Leah's favorite.
We looked for beach glass to fill our coffee table but today the pickens were paltry. Mom has an eagle eye when it comes to beach glass hunting.
Can you see the beach glass in this picture?
Here it is. When we walk on the beach I usually stay right behind my mom the whole time but today I decided to go see what Ziggy was up to so I strayed away from her for a minute. I forgot to ask her if it was ok first and when she looked behind her to make sure I was still there she FREAKED out! Pedro! Pedro! PEDRO!!!
Chill out Mom, I was right here behind this big stick! After she found me she tried to get Ziggy and I to pose for her.
That brought back memories of our Christmas card photo shoot but this time we got the picture on the 1st try. As we were walking my mom had this brilliant idea! As you can see, our coffee table has 4 sections.
Two sections are pretty full with all the beach glass and shells we've found so far. We're going to start working on the 3rd section soon BUT we have a great idea for the 4th section! We think it would be so much fun if each of you would send us a shell or rock from where you live. We would love to have a Dogs With Blogs section of our coffee table with treasures from all over the world. So if you would like to participate this is what you need to do:
1. Find a rock or shell that is no bigger than 3/4" or 2 centimeters tall
2. Take a picture of yourself looking for the rock/shell
3. Email me the picture and snail mail me the rock/shell
4. I will then take a picture of your rock/shell in my coffee table and post it on my blog
.
If you have the DWB Christmas Card list you have my mailing address. If you don't have the list, email me and I will send you my mailing address. I think this will be a really fun project and I hope you all send me a beautiful shell or rock from your neck of the woods!
My mom had a special connection with Misty because before I came to live with her, she had a beautiful grey kitty named Gracie. Gracie went to the Bridge when she was only 3 years old. From the moment my mom saw Misty's picture she was smitten with her. Misty was a beautiful princess and will be missed so much.

I was a very lucky dawg today cause I got beautiful cards from

My mom wanted to play
By the time she drove home that night the thermometer in her car read 48 degrees (
This weekend my mom decided it would be fun for her, Ziggy and me to go for a walk on the beach. We haven't gone in a long time and it was 44 degrees and sunny so it seemed like a good idea. Ziggy and I played in the dunes for awhile reading and leaving pee mails. Then we went down by the water. Whoa!! It was W~I~N~D~Y and freezing!
Ziggy didn't mind though and he headed straight for the ocean and ran in! My mom started screaming for him to GET OUT! He got out but seemed a little perplexed by her attitude. That
So she scooped me up and put me in her coat. That's how we walked on the beach until we got back to the dunes. It was fun but now Ziggy is sandy and salty and has to have another bath (
