Last weekend my mom and dad got to visit with my late brother Ziggy's real life brother, Smokey.
It was so incredible for my mom to see Smokey again - she hadn't seen him since Ziggy passed.
She felt such a connection to Ziggy through him and Smokey was so happy to see my mom! He was prancing around like a puppy with her!
Sure do miss that brother of mine...

Hiya Pedro! I can only imagine how good it made your heart feel to see Smokey. He looks like he is a handsome and happy fella, just as Ziggy was. So very nice you got together with him and his PUs.

It's great your mom got to see Ziggy's brother and Smokey made her feel good. You will always miss Ziggy but he is always in your heart.
My mom's sister says Ziggy was a "once in a lifetime dawg". I'm not really sure if I should be offended by that statement but I will admit, Zig was sure a special boy. We were so lucky to have him in our dawg house. So, so lucky...

Smokey is a good looking dog
hey Pedro,
That last picture put a lump in my throat. So beautiful, and it expresses such love!
Smokey is such a handsome boy, and I can see the resemblance to sweet Ziggy. It is so heartwarming to read how both Smokey and your mom felt the love of Ziggy between them. What a wonderful reunion! Thank you for sharing!

Aw Pedro, Asta took the words right out of my jaws.
I do love that last photo.
Oh thank you so much for thinking of us. Not bittersweet, just sweet. We will always miss Ziggy but we are so happy for Smokey's family (actually my dad's brother and his wife) that they still have Smokey with them. He's 11 years old now and is a little creaky in the joints but he's such a happy boy. My mom felt blessed to spend time with him last weekend. It's a gift just being with him!
Pedro
And we appreciate the special gift your mom shared with us!

What a wonderful day it must have been for your dad, mom and Smokey... somewhere up there in the clouds, Ziggy must have been peeking down at them playing with a smile on his face. It's so nice to still be able to connect with Ziggy through Smokey... xxx
How wonderful it must have been for your mom and dad to be able to visit Ziggy's brother, Pedro. We know Ziggy is very missed. Love that last picture of you guys!
Glad your mom and dad got to visit Smokey. He is a handsome boy.

Nice to meet Smokey. You must miss your brother a lot.
Mom saw a huge dog at Petsmart the other day that looked exactly like Marley.

So looks like Ziggy. Still can't believe he went to the bridge, but hey, happens to all our friends at some time. Nice to see Smokey.
